Text (H.B. 587):
SECTION 1. Section 3-3-31, Mississippi Code of 1972, is amended
as follows:
3-3-31. (1) The English language is the official language of the State
of Mississippi.
(2)
Notwithstanding any other provision of law, all documents produced by
state agencies or governmental entities of the state shall be in the English
language only.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its
passage.
