Text (H.B. 12)
AN ACT relating to the official language of the Commonwealth.
Amend KRS 2.013 to provide that unless otherwise authorized or provided
by law, all documents produced or utilized by the Commonwealth or its
political subdivisions shall be in the English language only.
Status
On June 7, 2006, bill sponsors Stan Lee, Mike Harmon, and Russ Mobley
prefiled the bill with the Interim Joint Committee on State Government
for introduction in the 2007 legislative session.
It was introduced on January 2, 2007, and sent to the State Government
committee on January 5th.
