More votes approach on HB 302 in MT Senate!

Take Action!

Back in February, HB 302—a bill to require that driver's license examinations, both the written and the road/skills tests, are given in no languages other than English— breezed through the Montana House by a vote of 62 to 38!
 
The bill has since moved over to the Senate for consideration. After receiving an initial committee hearing, the Senate Highways and Transportation Committee still must vote to pass the bill out of the committee and send it to the Senate floor for a vote!
 
Even though English has been the official language of Montana since 1995, the Montana DMV still allows driver's license written exams to be taken in 3 languages other than English—including Chinese, Russia, and Spanish—despite the fact that all road signs are written exclusively in English.
 
 
 
 
The committee vote may likely occur this week!
Call the members of the Transportation Committee today and ask them to support HB 302!
