Harry Reid has announced that he will bring the House-passed version of the DREAM Act (H.R. 5281) to the Senate floor tomorrow morning, Saturday December 18^th, for a vote.  60 “Yea” votes are needed to proceed to debate of the DREAM Act.

Call your two Senators NOW and tell them to vote NO on the DREAM Act tomorrow!

As you’ll recall, the House already passed this bill last week by a close vote of 216 to 198 (House Roll Call 625). Eight Republicans voted YES, 38 Democrats voted NO, and 20 Members did not vote at all. Of course, had those who were absent voted on the bill, the DREAM Act could have been defeated.

Because the House already passed this bill, this means that if the Senate succeeds and does not filibuster, the DREAM Act will be just a few votes away from making it to President Obama’s desk for signing.  We need all the calls we can get into Congress this afternoon and this evening.
