Meet the Staff

Robert Vandervoort, Executive Director Robert Vandervoort has a wide variety of campaign and legislative experience at both the federal and state level. He has worked on Capitol Hill and at the Maryland State Legislature in Annapolis. Prior to ProEnglish, he worked for a political consulting firm in Virginia. He has a law degree from DePaul University and a BA in history and international relations from Boston University. As Executive Director, Robert will manage the ongoing projects of ProEnglish and its publicity. He is originally from Illinois and now lives in Washington, D.C.

Suzanne Bibby, Director of Government Relations Suzanne graduated from Boston University in 2005 with a B.S. in Political Science and a minor in Biology. Previously, Suzanne served as Legislative Director of Eagle Forum in Washington, D.C. where she handled a variety of issues including official English, immigration, and national sovereignty. During her college years, she interned in the press office of former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney in downtown Boston, MA. Suzanne has volunteered for a number of political campaigns including Scott Brown for U.S. Senate. She even drove a press van in former President George W. Bush’s presidential motorcade while he stumped for former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum! As the Director of Government Relations, Suzanne oversees all of the public policy action on issues related to the English language on the federal, state, and local level. Suzanne is a native of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, a suburb just outside of Philadelphia and she currently resides in Arlington, VA.

Phil Tignino, Director of Communications Phil is a graduate from Washington State University with a B.S. in Political Science. Prior to coming onboard with ProEnglish, Phil began his career in the world of political activism with Youth for Western Civilization and worked with the staff of Congresswoman Cathy McMorris-Rodgers. As the Website Manager of ProEnglish, Phil focuses on new media platforms, maintaining and developing the ever changing ProEnglish website, and growing the network of official English advocates. Phil is originally from Palmdale, CA and now resides in Arlington, VA.
